Well, it looks like we’ve used up all the electricity so it’s time to go home. Really, we were without power (and later water) nearly all day. And I don’t just mean our hotel. I mean the ENTIRE TOWN! That may not sound like such a burden, but when it’s this hot, you sure do miss the air conditioning, especially at nap time. It appears that a truck knocked down a pole. Must have been a pretty important pole.
I took the opportunity to do absolutely nothing. By nothing I mean I strolled on the beach, watched a surfing class, sprawled in a chaise by the pool, and then sprawled some more in the hammock outside my little casita. Joan went to Liberia to look at the church and the town square. But, she had a false start. Seems there was an electric pole blocking the only road out of town.
Tomorrow we head home and I will sleep in my own bed on Friday night. I always hate leaving a place like this, but it’s also nice to get safely home. It’s now time to turn my attention to Australia next month. More summer!
